We will be joining everyone else that is searching for an outstanding combination of history and FUN at Northern Pacific Depot Day 2008 in Wallace, Idaho. You can go to youtube.com and there is a great video of the collector cars from last year’s show. Plenty of American classic metal on wheels, delicious food, interesting vendors, and some of the best live music in the Pacific NW. This is shaping up to be an entertaining and fun outing for the family right before Mothers Day. John and I are looking forward to spending the day visiting with folks in Wallace during Depot Day.
There is a festival, free tours of the historic depot, arts and crafts fair on the lawn at the depot, and of course … the cool cars.
See you in Wallace,
Joyce

May is Older Americans Month and the 2008 Theme is “Working Together for Strong, Healthy, and Supportive Communities”. I am really looking forward to making new friends and seeing old friends at Valley Vista Care Center in Sandpoint, Idaho at 2:30 pm on Tuesday May, 6, 2008. This is a great example of the progress that has made in serving the needs of our aging Americans. This will be a terrific setting to share ideas and opinions with a lively set of people. I just lost a dear friend at age 97. She was living proof that this generation of seniors are the most active and engaged in our history. We have a responsibility to modernize and improve our care system and facilities to meet the growing need in all of our communities. Come join Director Denise Buckner and I and check out the facility and if we have enough time, we might just gather some of the group together and wiggle our toes in the Aquatic Therapy Center while we chat. Sounds tempting, right?
